Sr y Sra Wilson is a design studio formed by two partners based in Barcelona. They work for brands like Reebok or Tous, helping them develop projects with a strong strategic view and a firm conceptual ground. Above that, they are also a family. Literally. Samuel and Raquel are partners in life too.
Recently, Samuel (co-founder and Creative Director) brought their Triggers deck to a workshop he had to lead. We talked to him about the experience and result.
What was the workshop about? What did you use Triggers for?
I was mentoring a group of young creatives at the Art Directors Club of Europe's Creative Express workshop. The team had three different students from Italy, Switerzland and the UK. The goal was to create an awareness campaign for PiCampus, a startup incubator that links designers with developers.
When we started the brainstorming, I noticed that all groups were getting the same kind of ideas, so I decided to introduce Triggers to open up different paths and solutions. After that, we put the ideas in common and selected the best ones.
What would you say Triggers added to the experience? How did the students react?
They didn't use this kind of methods before, so they were surprised at how simple questions/reflections could help them think out-of-the-box straightforwardly.
The method also helped make the process more democratic and leave individualistic behaviours behind. The final idea they presented was the result of a group effort.
